Product Description
WANSUN Concrete Nails are heat-treated hardened steel nails designed for penetrating concrete, masonry, brick, and mortar joints. The fluted shank design provides superior holding power while reducing the risk of splitting during installation. Our concrete nails undergo precise heat treatment to achieve the optimal balance of hardness and toughness, preventing bending and breakage during driving.

Key Features
Heat Treated Hardness
Precisely quenched and tempered to HRC 50-55 for penetration into hard substrates without bending.
Fluted Shank Design
Grooved shank increases withdrawal resistance by up to 40% compared to smooth shank nails.
Low Breakage Rate
Optimized toughness-hardness ratio ensures less than 2% breakage under standard driving conditions.
Corrosion Options
Black oxide finish for dry environments, galvanized for outdoor and damp conditions.
Applications
Concrete Fixing
Brick & Masonry
Wall Construction
Mortar Joints
Frequently Asked Questions
Can these nails be driven into concrete by hand?
While possible with a heavy hammer, we recommend using a power-actuated tool (PAT) or powder-actuated nail gun for consistent results in hardened concrete. For softer masonry like brick or mortar, hand driving is feasible.
What is the fluted shank advantage?
Fluted shanks have longitudinal grooves that create mechanical interlock with the concrete. This increases pull-out resistance by 30-40% compared to smooth shank nails, making them ideal for permanent installations subject to vibration or load.
Do you offer galvanized concrete nails?
Yes, we offer both black oxide and electro-galvanized concrete nails. For outdoor or high-humidity applications, galvanized finish provides additional corrosion protection without affecting the hardened properties.
What sizes are most popular?
The most common sizes for general construction are 50mm (2") and 75mm (3"). For heavy-duty applications like securing sill plates to concrete, 100mm (4") is preferred. We can manufacture any size within our 25-100mm range.
